This project showcases a beautifully curated Mediterranean-inspired outdoor living space, designed to blend timeless elegance with functional comfort. Our team transformed the area into a serene retreat by incorporating a spacious alfresco area, custom decking, and high-end natural stone crazy pavers — all working harmoniously to evoke the warmth and charm of the Mediterranean coast.

Lush, drought-tolerant plantings were thoughtfully selected to complement the soft textures and earthy tones of the hardscape, while enhancing privacy and natural shade. To complete the space, we styled the area with elegant outdoor furniture that invites relaxation, entertaining, and everyday outdoor living.

Every element was carefully designed and constructed to reflect the client’s vision of a sophisticated yet low-maintenance escape — combining beauty, lifestyle, and lasting craftsmanship.

In this unique project, we turned an awkward triangular garden space into a stunning, multifunctional outdoor retreat — thoughtfully designed for living, entertaining, and relaxing.

The design centred around keeping the space open and inviting, with a grass area in the middle to maintain flow and natural balance. Surrounding this, we built a series of custom features tailored to the client’s lifestyle, including a stylish pergola, alfresco dining zone, and a warm, built-in fire pit area — perfect for year-round gatherings.

We also constructed a custom shed that blends seamlessly with the garden design, practical yet visually appealing. A combination of decking and raised garden beds frame the space beautifully, while carefully chosen plantings add softness and privacy.

The result is a fully functional outdoor haven that makes the most of every inch — proof that even irregular spaces can become something extraordinary with thoughtful planning, craftsmanship, and creativity.

The client’s large backyard was overrun with weeds, unhealthy grass, and overgrown plants damaging the fence, alongside an old, unused shed. We redesigned the space by dividing it into two distinct areas: one half paved with a small garden bed, and the other dedicated as a kids’ play and gardening zone featuring raised veggie beds.

We removed all shrubs and trees affecting the fence, installed fresh Sir Walter Buffalo turf (DNA certified), and treated the front yard grass to restore its health and vibrancy. The result is a clean, safe, and inviting outdoor area perfect for family life and gardening enjoyment.

For this challenging sloping backyard, we replaced a plain expanse of grass with a two-tiered, custom-designed outdoor haven — combining structure, creativity, and high-end detail.

Upper Level – Modern Alfresco Deck with Feature Squares

We split the space into two levels using "wallstone" blocks retaining walls, creating a strong foundation and clean elevation change. The upper tier features a perfectly level hardwood deck, seamlessly connected to the home's built-in patio, forming a luxurious alfresco living space.

Within the deck, we crafted two precision square cut-outs — one for a raised garden bed and the other for a natural pond filled with fish and water lilies. Every centimetre mattered in this build, as both squares had to be perfectly aligned and equal in size. The custom-built steps, also constructed with stone block finishes, connect the deck to the lower level and tie both squares into the flow of the design.

Lower Level – Paved Entertaining & Utility Zone

The lower tier features a fully paved area with natural stone pavers, where we positioned a modern shed at the centre, with a pergola in front to create a shaded outdoor sitting or entertaining space. Large decorative pots, portable veggie beds, and soft perimeter planting add life and colour without overcrowding the area.

Finishing Touches

We enhanced both sides of the home with stepping pavers set in decorative pebbles, offering clean and stylish access. At the front, we replaced the old lawn with fresh turf and subtle upgrades that gave the property renewed curb appeal.

The result: a bold and highly functional landscape, turning a steep, underused yard into a stylish, multi-level retreat that blends modern aesthetics with nature and practicality.
